NOTICE IS HERE BY GIVEN that the Reed City Council will hold a virtual public hearing on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. Per Executive Order 154 for the establishment of a Commercial Rehabilitation District in the City of Reed City in Accordance with Act 210 of 2005 consisting of the following described parcels:

Part of Lots 2 and 7, and the West 43' of the West 86' of Lot 1, and Lots 10 & 15, and Lot 7 excluding the North 5' of the West 100', and excluding the North 8', of the East 96' thereof, and Lots 18 and 23, excluding the East 50' thereof and the East 50' of Lots 18 and 23, Henry I. Bittner's Addition to the Village of Reed City, Section 16, Town 17 North, Range 10 West, City of Reed City, Osceola County, Michigan; more fully described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Lot 2; thence S 89 degrees 16'09" E a distance of 99.52' (RECORD 96.00') to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing S 89 degrees E a distance of 140.43'; thence S 00 degrees 46'03" W a distance of 99.84' (RECORD 100.00'); thence N 89 degrees 17'20" W a distance of 43.32' (RECORD 43.00'); thence S 00 degrees 43'45" W a distance of 499.27' (RECORD 500.00'); thence N 89 degrees 23'30" W a distance of 195.88' (RECORD 196.00'); thence N 00 degrees 39'51" E a distance of 494.53' (RECORD 500.00'); thence S 89 degrees 17'11" E a distance of 100.26' (RECORD 100.00'); thence N 00 degrees 15'43" E a distance of 104.99' to the Point of Beginning. City Hall Reopens to Public

The City of Reed City now has a Safety Plan to reopen City Hall offices to the public, effective immediately. Residents are still encouraged to use the online bill pay and drop box. Visitors to City Hall will be required to use face masks and observe social distancing.

If possible, residents are encouraged to call ahead when coming to City Hall so staff can prepare and lessen your time needed to complete City business.

This new higher level of connectivity is great news for businesses and entrepreneurs who want to grow and expand in Reed City. It means a faster broadband network, offering area homes and businesses access to gigabit broadband, bringing supercomputing power to local Internet users.

Chamber Seeks Executive Director

Looking for a way to give back to your community and watch it grow? Love a challenge, working with people and local businesses? Want to get to know your community and its businesses better?

The Reed City Area Chamber of Commerce is actively looking for a part-time Executive Director. Job responsibilities consist of 25-30 hours a week split between office hours and community hours. Must be able to work flexible hours and be self-driven. Candidates are required to be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Quickbooks, social media sites, and websites. White Pine TrailLooking for a Bike Hike Camping adventure out on the Michigan Trails? Come to Reed City, Michigan's Crossroads. Reed City is where two of Michigan's mightiest trails intersect, the White Pine Trail running north and south, and the Pere Marquette Trail heading east and west.

Reed City is the perfect place for your adventure to begin and end. Rambadt Park is a cozy campground nestled in nature close to US 10 & US 131 and the White Pine and Pere Marquette Trails. 13 campsites offer electricity and water hookups. Reservations are accepted. You will find warm showers, a pavilion, band shell, walking trail and kids playground. Open mid-May to end of October. There are free concerts in the park every Friday and Saturday, June to August.
