2019 Evergreen Festival
The Craft Show was held Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30, 9am-4pm at Reed City High School. Susie Miller with Reed City Community Education coordinates this piece of the Evergreen Festival. Susie can be reached at 231-832-5517.
To kick off the holiday festivities, GT Norman Elementary (K-5) and Trinity School participated in our First Annual Evergreen Celebration “Poster Decorating Contest.” Each classroom collectively mastered a Candyland themed poster to be displayed throughout some of our downtown Chamber members’ businesses.
The Reed City Area Chamber of Commerce also kicked off its First Annual Evergreen Spirit Competition for Best Overall Lighted Festival Display. The winner, RC Fitness, will receive an engraved 4" x 8" paver to be displayed at the Reed City Depot, a certificate to be displayed at the place of business, bragging rights and the ability to choose next year's festival theme.
On Friday, Nov. 29, the Evergreen Festival Parade started at 7pm. The parade route traveled east on Upton Avenue and ended at the Reed City Depot. This lead into the Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Reed City Depot.
The Evergreen festivities continued on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 1-3pm with cookie decorating, visiting with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Elves at the Reed City Depot.
